With the sultry and sexy Kalamity J and me being painted live in graffiti art by the amazingly talented KASL, it’s not a surprise that our last hive launch party was a complete success! We gave away free awesome ball caps with art from “Sick” and dope ass t-shirts with art from “Van Wyck 3and the Clan of the Sour Hand”.  People loved the new books and enjoyed the visual candy of painted ladies! Ooh la la! But even better, Chadwick and Kasl showcased their own personal art along with the illustrations from their books and it blew everyone’s mind away! Cobb did an intimate reading from Van Wyck in our space and as usual his charm had the gals in a swoon! It was a night to remember and we want to thank all of our Ink Pen Mutations Fans for coming to our last Hive Launch Party and visiting our last moments having the green furry room all to our selves. It’s been a magical 3 years and we hope that the Hive and all of its patrons will never forget all our zany installations.

So now you all know. Since I’m concentrating most of my Ink Pen Mutations business on electronic products there’s no need for me to keep such a large space as a vessel to sell and promote my paper books. But over the years I’ve grown quite fond of the Hive family and was truly torn about leaving. So I decided to remain part of the Hive and share a small space there instead of keeping my large space. So the famous former Ink Pen Mutations green furry back room is still there but it has been cut in half.  One half has been turned into personal workspace to be rented by an artist (not for showcasing art). The other half is split between the amazing Chadwick Reinhardt, dreamy Alina Mikos, the ever so mystifying Scott Griffin, and me.  So instead of showcasing Ink Pen Mutations Press, I will be showcasing my own personal artwork. So please come by, check out our stuff and come say hello.  Our next show is October 2nd 8pm-midnight. It’s haunted house themed so you’re not going to want to miss it!

The Comic Con this year was a madhouse! We stepped it up from last year and wore the craziest costumes ever! We gave away these incredible grab bags that had all kinds of strange but enticing goodies from fake mustaches, rubber gorillas in hooker make-up, a fancy little bottle of galaxy funk, cool books, t-shirts, and more. People were going wild for them and with good reason! Everyone knows by now that Ink Pen Mutations Press and Fan Vixens know how to do it right! Playboy model Laya Bella wore matching outfits with Rannie Rodil to create a media frenzy at our booth every day we were there! I wore my crazy monster boots revamped by the artist TrieopsTreyfid and I also wore the platforms that make me 7 feet tall  when I dressed as an alien warrior called the Slagitron from the book "Bizarro Au Go-Go". "Bizarro Au Go-Go" sold like hot cakes! In fact all our books sold very well, thanks to all who came to support us.  To see videos go to our video section at www.inkpenmutations.com

Did someone say Chiodo Brother’s Studio? HELL YEAH, I did! It was a dream come true being able to visit the Chiodo Brother’s studio and chill out with Stephen Chiodo who gave us all a tour and talked extensively about past and present projects. He is the coolest guy on this planet, not only talented but super duper fun to talk to! Not many people in Hollywood can make this claim, these guys are rare jewels in this business. I don’t want to prematurely spill the beans about some upcoming secret projects I’ll be involved in this coming spring, but I will say that this visit to the fantastical Chiodo Brother’s Studio won’t be my last.  Hint hint. If you’re curious, keep checking on here and you’ll find out soon enough!
