Monsterpalooza Recap and IPM Party This Thurs!

Monsterpalooza was awesome! I ran into so many good friends and saw some amazing creepy creatures! My sister, Rannie showed up as a demon Geisha . Cig Neutron created the character and did all the make-up. She looked so rad people couldn’t stop taking photos of her!  I was offered an insane discount on a sweet latex neckpiece (from Art with Latex) and all I had to do was model it. So I came there with a shirt on and ended up mostly topless. How else was I suppose to model such a beautiful neckpiece?  Cig Neutron did such a great job on Rannie’s costume that they scored some free tickets to the James Hong Show (actor who played  Lo Pan in Big Trouble in Little China)! We all went to the James Hong Show after Monsterpalooza and it was really fun and hilarious! Believe it or not Rannie ended up dancing on stage with Lo Pan!

The Demon Geisha is one of the character's from Cig Neutron and Rannie's new book "Bizarro Au Go Go" published by Ink Pen Mutations Press.

This Thursday April 14th is the Hive’s monthly art walk after-party! WE will also be continuing our celebration of the Van Wyck 2 book launch! Here’s the latest!
Check out our new website. It has a completely different look and feel but it’s definitely more user friendly.  It’s more simple and sleek. We decided to keep the focus on our books, but don’t worry we still have our family page with all the author and artist info.

*Ink Pen Mutations Facebook Fan Page!
If you haven’t already please add us, like us, and tell all your friends! If you notice that some of the content from our old website is missing such as the past shows gallery and the family galleries, don’t panic.  All this content and more will be posted on here regularly.

*Van Wyck 2 Launch party April 2nd 8pm-midnight at The Hive Gallery.
Join us for the official Van Wyck 2 Launch Party at The Hive Gallery! As you all know, Van Wyck 2 was released late last summer but we didn’t throw and official launch party because we were waiting on the printing of Zombie Rockband.  We were hoping to launch the two books together in one super party. Unfortunately we ran into a ton of printing problems and finally realized we just had to start all over with Zombie Rockband and use a different print house.  So, during the Hive’s big 6 year anniversary party this sat, we will also be celebrating the release of Van Wyck 2! The amazing painter, Lance Richlin will be there to sign book copies and to showcase the original paintings from the books as well as his other impressive paintings!  And the handsome /witty/ insane author, Christopher Cobb will be there to sign and entertain too! If Mother has time, she’ll try to bring a few pieces from her new collection “Monster watch bots”. As usual awesome live music performances in the front and the coolest Dj's spinning in the back! Hope to see you there!

Lovers & Haters Art Show and Our Bizarro Au Go-Go Book Fundraiser!

The Hive Gallery is having their big group show with the awesome theme of Lovers & Haters!
Our artists Rannie and Cig Neutron will be featuring their collaboration piece called Death and the Maiden, starring Playboy model Laya Bella.  This is just a first taste of our upcoming book “Bizarro Au Go-Go” by Rannie and Cig Neutron.  This amazing book will be a mix of sculpture and photography.  With a mix of humor, horror, sci-fi, and hot babes, just think of Far Side meets Tales from the Crypt.  We will be selling 5 signed limited edition Death and the Maiden prints to help fund this book project.  Cig Neutron will also be selling more of his infamous Cigaratts in our room.

And to further help fund the making of “Bizarro Au Go-Go,” Laya Bella will there to sign Fan Vixen Calendars. If you can’t afford a Death and the Maiden print or if we’ve sold out, please grab yourself an awesome Calendar and get it signed by the sweetest, hottest playboy model in existence!  Not only will you be treating yourself, but you will be contributing to the arts and everyone knows that we make good shit. So if you want to see more, please come to support us in one way or another!

But that’s not all! Our very own Mother, Ave Rose, will be featuring her new art collection “Birdbot Watching” in our room.  “Birdbot Watching” is Mother’s creation of miniature robot birds made of vintage watch parts! Every purchase comes with a magical mini magnifying glass so you can enjoy every tiny detail! And at the request of our lovely fans out there, Mother has also made more undead rose art, but this time she has made them into pendants. Each undead rose pendant comes on a necklace.
