Monsterpalooza Recap and IPM Party This Thurs!

Monsterpalooza was awesome! I ran into so many good friends and saw some amazing creepy creatures! My sister, Rannie showed up as a demon Geisha . Cig Neutron created the character and did all the make-up. She looked so rad people couldn’t stop taking photos of her!  I was offered an insane discount on a sweet latex neckpiece (from Art with Latex) and all I had to do was model it. So I came there with a shirt on and ended up mostly topless. How else was I suppose to model such a beautiful neckpiece?  Cig Neutron did such a great job on Rannie’s costume that they scored some free tickets to the James Hong Show (actor who played  Lo Pan in Big Trouble in Little China)! We all went to the James Hong Show after Monsterpalooza and it was really fun and hilarious! Believe it or not Rannie ended up dancing on stage with Lo Pan!

The Demon Geisha is one of the character's from Cig Neutron and Rannie's new book "Bizarro Au Go Go" published by Ink Pen Mutations Press.

This Thursday April 14th is the Hive’s monthly art walk after-party! WE will also be continuing our celebration of the Van Wyck 2 book launch! If you missed the opening party on April 2nd, here’s your second chance! Christopher Cobb (Author of the Van Wyck series) will be reading on the hive’s front stage at approx 9pm followed by a triple back flip.  Check out Lance Richlin’s amazing paintings. They feel so alive and haunted that you’d swear all painted eyes were following you! It’s a thrilling and chilling experience you wouldn’t want to miss! And if you want to check out what’s left of my Monsterbot collection in person, that’s just another reason of the million reasons you should come! But best off all, this insanely awesome event full of art, literature, music, dancing, and more is FREE FREE FREE! How can you not come?!

Monsterbots!!! So I posted all the monterbots I made for the show on my website www.averose.com.  I also created a store, so if you can't make it out to any of our gallery shows but you must have one of my pieces, you can just buy it here.

Please, Please, Please, with a cherry on top, sugar and whip cream check out our ink pen mutations press facebook page! We need 100 "likes" to make it official and so far we are up to 67! just type in Ink Pen Mutations Press into your Facebook search and if you like what you see, please "like" it. It's very very important. I'm going to be adding past event galleries as well as Ink Pen Mutation's funny bloopers page. I promise to keep it as fun and entertaining as possible.
